Thursday, June 3rd, 2010I’ve been using my mother’s Singer Meritt 4530 for years now, and am now looking to buy a machine for myself. I generally sew purses, mend clothes, etc, but am looking to get more into making clothing/accessories as well as quilting. Is there a good, solid, all around type of sewing machine that I should be looking at? What type of features should I look for in a machine that would allow them to work for the type of sewing that I want to do?
